- The controller will make quite a bit of difference. I have a Zip drive hooked
- up to both a PC with a cheap ISA non-DMA SCSI card and a 4000 with an Emplant
- SCSI. (Yes, they're on the same bus, and yes the two machines have different
- ID numbers) Anyway, the transfer from the Emplant SCSI (when it works at all)
- is significantly slower than the transfer on the PC, even though the Zip drive
- is mounted much closer to the Amiga. The Emplant gets only about 500K/s because
- it's only SCSI I. The PC card gets more like 800 because it's SCSI II.
